Hourly Fee

Our law firm primarily provides legal services on the basis of hourly billing.

Before commencing any services, we will discuss your matter with you and inform you of the estimated time scope and applicable hourly rate. The hourly rate depends on the complexity of the legal matter, the value of the proceedings or transaction, the required legal specialization, and the level of responsibility associated with the engagement.

The standard hourly rate is CZK 3,500 + 21% VAT per commenced hour of legal services.

Specialized hourly rates may be agreed for more complex or strategic matters (corporate transactions, insolvency proceedings, trust structures, high-value real estate matters, complex disputes, etc.).

Clients are always informed in advance of the agreed hourly rate.

In certain matters, particularly litigation and court representation, fees may be determined in accordance with Decree No. 177/1996 Coll. of the Ministry of Justice (the Czech Attorney Tariff), either separately or in combination with hourly billing. In such cases, the Attorney Tariff serves as an objective reference standard corresponding to the nature and value of the matter.

Unless a specific contractual fee arrangement is expressly agreed between the attorney and the client, the fee shall be governed by the Attorney Tariff.

Fixed Fee

For services with a clearly defined scope, a fixed fee arrangement may be agreed. Fixed fees are typically used for the preparation or review of contractual documentation and the drafting of standardized legal submissions. The fixed fee is determined individually based on the scope of the requested services.

Real Estate Legal Services

We provide comprehensive legal services in the area of real estate transfers and legal relations concerning real estate. Our services include, in particular, drafting contractual documentation (purchase agreements, reservation agreements, gift agreements, lease agreements), negotiations with real estate brokers and counterparties, preparation of applications for registration of ownership rights with the Land Registry, attorney escrow services for purchase funds and documents, signature authentication, preparation of declarations of property ownership and division of buildings into residential units, and representation in proceedings before the Land Registry Office.

Remuneration is usually agreed as a combination of a fixed fee for specific tasks and an individual hourly rate for work exceeding the standard scope of services.

Debt Recovery and Related Services

We provide comprehensive legal services related to debt recovery. The initial assessment of the legitimacy and recoverability of a claim is generally carried out free of charge, and we will propose an appropriate strategy together with an estimate of the costs of the entire process. This may include out-of-court recovery (formal demand notices), court proceedings and applications for payment orders, as well as enforcement or insolvency-related actions connected with debt recovery.

In debt recovery matters, fees are most commonly structured as follows:

• representation pursuant to the standard Attorney Tariff (Decree No. 177/1996 Coll.), which, in the event of success, is generally borne by the debtor;

• fixed or task-based fees in cases where the claim is not recovered or where services exceed the standard scope of debt recovery;

• individual hourly rates depending on the extent and complexity of the specific proceedings.

If your claim is legitimate and the debtor is solvent, its recovery may cost you CZK 0, as reasonably incurred legal representation costs are generally awarded against the debtor by law. We have prepared a separate article explaining in more detail who bears these costs.

Monthly Retainer Cooperation

For clients with a recurring need for legal services (corporate clients, developers, institutions, homeowners’ associations, etc.), we offer monthly retainer arrangements tailored individually according to the scope of activities and the expected volume of services.

Success Fee

In disputes or projects where appropriate, a success fee arrangement may be agreed, based on the outcome or value of the matter, usually in combination with another fee component.

The law firm is a VAT payer.
All amounts stated above are exclusive of 21% VAT.
